Is it cheaper to book Jamaica tours ahead online or at the hotels tour office?

I’m looking @ Negril tours online & I’m wondering if I should just wait and figure that stuff out when we get there??? Any suggestions?
Its usally cheaper through services than directly. Special promotions aren’t offered directly…as with airlines, go to the airline you get HIGH price, go to travel agent or do it online through Orbitz, travelosity etc., its cheaper.
What type of compensation/upgrades can I expect from Apple vacations?

I recently booked a trip for my family through Apple vacations. We booked five people and three room. When booking, the flights were listed as "nonstop." Upon inspecting our confirmation emails, I noticed our return flight in fact has one stop. I’m agitated that we will have this stop on our return flight and am planning on calling Apple to complain. What type of compensation can I expect for what I deem false advertising of the return flight? Is a room upgrade out of reach? thanks.
Check the flight numbers— if the flight numbers stay the same on the return flight even though you have a stop or even a plane change, then Apple did nothing wrong. That is the way the airlines describe the trip. For example, USAirways Flight 46 starts in San Francisco, headed for DC. It stops in Phoenix on the way; technically they call it a refueling stop or something like that, but they pick up new passengers and lots of people stay in Phoenix and don’t continue on to DC. Since it maintains the same flight number all the way, it is called a "direct" flight. That is just how the airlines do things. I don’t like it either— I’m a business traveller and I take that Flight 46 all the time and I get less airline miles than I would if the flight changed numbers but I have all the hassles of a connecting flight, it is the worst of both worlds. But it is what it is… anyway if the flight number is the same all the way through, you’re out of luck. I suppose you could complain but I doubt you will get very far, and even if you do complain to Apple, they’re just passing along the info that the airline gave them. Now, if the flight number changes mid-route, you have some arguing room and a room upgrade is a reasonable thing to ask for.
Just keep in mind that the FAA allows some loose descriptions of what is non-stop, and if the airline is showing it as a nonstop flight, Apple will not know any different.
What travel companies are good during study abroad?

I’m studying abroad in Italy this fall. I want to go to other countries while I am there, but a lot of the groups I’ve been finding for "cheap student travel" seem questionable. Anyone have any good travel companies that were reliable, safe, and affordable? By safe and reliable, I mean I won’t be scammed.
The best way is use kayak to search for flights and hotels and then book directly with the airline or hotel.
Most online travel sites cannot be trusted since once they charge your credit card you are on your own.

When visiting Bali it is vital to take the weather conditions into account. Although the Bali Weather is understood to be sunny skies and cool breezes this is only half the story. The weather in Bali isn’t divided into four seasons but rather into 2. There’s the dry season and the wet season, with the temperature remaining pretty constant throughout the year. The averages temperature in Bali is 28C all year and even in winter you may expect it to drop to only 24C.
The hottest time to visit Bali is in the dry season which lasts from April to Sept, with June to Sept being the peak season. There is very little rain at throughout these months and you should expect to have 99% of the time you spend in Bali with sunny blue skies. There’s slight rainfall during this time, but it is mostly in the afternoon, and although if could be a heavy downpour, only last a little while and then the sun comes out again.
The other, less popular season to go to Bali is during the wet season, typically from October to March, due to the very wet conditions. During this time of the year you should expect awfully torrential rain for days if not for weeks at a time. It is this season that give Bali its dense tropical rain forests that it is known for. The high rain volume during the wet season gives the trees and plants masses of moisture to grow at an incredible rate.
In the entire year you can expect to have a high humidity which is at its highest during the stormy months and can reach as high as ninety percent which if you are not used to it can be very stifling. When coming to Bali and you aren’t used to living in a humid climate it is crucial that you book a hotel that has air-con for you to acclimatize. The humidity is felt more inland where the coast gives way to a higher altitude and some areas are so dense with foliage that some people can find it difficult to breathe.
The winds that blow in Bali are gentle to moderate and you don’t get the intense monsoons and gales that are associated with many Indonesian countries. There are some amazing storms that are grand to experience, but except for landslides there is no danger if you visit Bali during this time. Many folk still come to Bali during this time as you will find the Bali accommodation is less crowded and you’ll be able to find much better rates.
With Bali being such a little island that is known for its marine life and amazing scuba diving areas it doesn’t really matter when you come to go to if you are curious about diving. Even during the heavy rainy season you’re still assured of some sunny days, it is just that when it rains it really rains and you may have to remain in the hotel during the heaviest of the rain or spend some time doing some Bali shopping.

The size of the lighter will play into what type of cutter is attached. For instance, very large gauge cigars require a large gauge cutter and, thus, a large lighter. They are also usually cut with an angled blade which means the guillotine will likely be provided with as much. Some lighters may include other implements such as pipe tools. Whichever one is chosen, they are enormously convenient and useful multi-tool devices.

English Soccer Remembers Sir Bobby Robson

One of Englands most beloved sporting figures, Sir Bobby Robson, yielded to his courageous fight with cancer recently at the age of 75. British soccer fans mourned his passing after a lifetime in the game, first as a player and then a team manager and elder statesman. Even the often snippy British press had nothing bad to say about the universally respected Robson, headlining their obituaries with adjectives like The Bravest Knight or simply The Legend.
Robson enjoyed a productive career as a player that spanned 20 years and was spent primarily in the English Premier League with Fulham and West Bromwich Albion. He also competed for Englands national team on twenty occasions, netting four goals in international play.
After his retirement in’68 as an active player, he found more fame as a team manager both in England and on the international level. In the EPL, his guidance transformed Ipswich Town from a laughing stock to a league powerhouse and he would lead the club for well over a decade. He would also serve as the England National Team manager for 8 years, as well as managing club teams in Portugal and Spain. He ended his career in British football with a stint as manager of Newcastle United that ended in 2004.
Robson earned even more love and admiration from his countrymen due to his public battle with cancer. Although a brain tumor left him partially paralyzed in 2006, he never wavered in his commitment to English football or to raising money and awareness for cancer treatment. After being diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in 2007, he started the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation, and raised well over one million pounds for the Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trials Research Centre in Newcastle.
Such was the respect for Robson that two other soccer icons not known for seeing eye to eye were quick to pay their respects. Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho gave this tribute:
I wanted to and I will keep with me always the Bobby Robson of every day, a person who had extraordinary passion for life and for football, with an extraordinary enthusiasm. Bobby Robson is one of those people who never die, not so much for what he did in his career, for one victory more or less, but for what he knew to give to those who had, like me, the good fortune to know him and walk by his side. My thoughts and embraces go to all his loved ones.
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson shared his own touching comments:
In my 23 years working in England there is not a person I would put an inch above him. I was never too big or proud to ask him for advice, which he gave freely and unconditionally. And I’m sure I am speaking for a lot of people when I say that. I mourn the passing of a great friend, a wonderful individual, a tremendous football man and somebody with passion and knowledge of the game that was unsurpassed.
His character was hewn out of the coalface; developed by the County Durham mining background that he came from. His parents instilled in him the discipline and standards which forged the character of a colossal human being. He added his own qualities to that which he passed on to his sons. The strength and courage he showed over the past couple of years when battling against his fifth bout of cancer was indescribable. Always a smile, always a friendly word with never a mention of his own problems.
The world, not just the football world, will miss him. Let’s hope it won’t be long before another like him turns up because we could never get enough of them.
There will be another of tributes to Robson in the upcoming English Premier League season. Some teams have already announced plans to honor Robson with a black uniform arm band, while other longer lasting tributes are in the works.

This special, all-night event allows busloads of students to enter the park after it closes. The students get to dance to special musical acts, watch fireworks, and ride attractions.
