Popular Bulgarian Holiday Destinations

Bulgaria is a country with a rich but troubled history dating back thousands of years. Located in the southeast of Europe, Bulgaria has been experiencing rapid economic growth over the last few years, though it still maintains one of the lowest income levels in the European Union. The country has some wonderful geography with vast plains and mountainous regions all controlled by a temperate climate. In terms of tourism, Bulgaria is an up and coming destination for primarily European tourists, the Lonely Planet guide even placing it as high as 5th place in its top ten destinations to visit in 2010.

The capital of Bulgaria is Sofia, a city of approximately 1.2 million people. Sofia is an amazing city with some of the best nightlife in the Balkans coupled with areas of impressive historical architecture. Sofia was once ruled by Alexander the Great after he defeated the Thracian rulers around 334 BC, though a few hundred years later it was conquered by the Romans and subsequently became a municipium meaning a center of an administrative region. Today Sofia is well known for its huge range of cultural buildings including numerous museums, and arts orientated constructions.

Another of Bulgaria’s finest cities is Varna, a seaside resort located on the western coast of the Black Sea. Varna is often referred to as the marine capital of Bulgaria and therefore has become an extremely popular tourist destination for domestic and international travelers. Varna was recently named as Bulgaria’s best city to live in and has some of the best and oldest museums, arts companies and festivals in Bulgaria.

Just behind Varna in terms of population is Burgas, (occasionally referred to as Bourgas). Situated amongst the Burgas Lakes, this extremely popular seaside resort has something for everyone, with fascinating historical architecture and modern trendy bars and clubs. Although the tourism industry in the city is not as developed as other destinations, Borgas still has a lot to offer in terms of good quality restaurants, museums, art galleries and some scintillating nightlife.

Although not a city, Golden Sands is the most popular seaside resort in the whole of Bulgaria. Golden Sands is only 17km from Varna though it has become more popular due to (amongst other things) having the purest quartz sand on the Bulgarian Black Sea Coast. What makes Golden Sands so special is that it is a seaside resort that has been developed with only one goal in mind, to entertain and accommodate tourists.

Tunisia Holiday Guide

Fashion trends seem to dictate popular tourist destinations to the point that as soon as a celebrity is spotted on a yacht or outside a nightclub in a particular area, it instantly becomes the next holiday destination for the masses. Though why are the celebrities there in the first place? What or who told them to go there for a holiday? Did they pick up the latest issue of OK magazine and see another celebrity there? Maybe it is down to the appeal that the area offers?

There are a diverse range of trendy holiday destinations that are constantly popular with tourists, sometimes because they offer the best of one particular thing and sometimes because they are able to combine a number of different things well. Countries around the Mediterranean Sea have always been popular tourist destinations due to the weather, the landscape and the beautiful sea, and Tunisia is no exception.

Tunisia’s official name is the Tunisian Republic and is situated on the northern-most tip of Africa. Algeria and Libya surround Tunisia to the west and south-east respectively. While the southern part of Tunisia is mainly comprised of the Sahara Desert, the land around the desert is extremely fertile which helps with growing crops. Tunisia is also able to provide tourists with a massive eight hundred and ten miles of coastline with which to enjoy their holiday in the sun.

Some might say that Tunisia’s coastline is its best asset, but that opinion is subjective and although it offers some of the best beaches in the Mediterranean sea, there is a lot more to Tunisia than sand. If it is a good beach you are looking for, the most popular in Tunisia is Port el-Kantaoui, with Hammamet beach coming a close second. Port el-Kantaoui is a tourist complex that was actually first modeled on the French town of Port Grimaud.

Some of the highest grossing films of the 20th Century were filmed in Tunisia. Films such as Star Wars: A New Hope and The Phantom Menace (21st Century), Raiders of the Lost Ark, and The English Patient were all filmed in the canyons, caves and cities of Tunisia. In order to find the locations it may be best searching the internet for advice as it can be tricky. One place that is easy to find is the Star Wars Hotel, also called Sidi Driss which is located in Matmata. A small part of the film Star Wars: A New Hope was filmed in the courtyard for this hotel and some of the props are still present to this day.

Men’s Fashion Advice : What To Pack For A Beach Vacation

For the forward thinking man who likes to have things planned well in advance, we’ve put together a little guide on a few key items you should always remember to pack when preparing for your summer vacation. First on the list is a pair of sunglasses. These are small and so easy to fit in with the rest of your luggage. Make sure to protect your eyes from both the sun and any glare by taking with you the biggest pair you can find.

Another key thing to make sure you have in your luggage is a decent selection of T-shirts, or tees. These will be useful for all aspects of your trip. Stay cool in loose, breathable fabrics such as cotton and use them to cover up on the beach if you’ve had a bit too much sun. They’re also great for trips to bars and restaurants and, if you take a selection of colors, you’ll be able to mix and match your outfits for the duration of your vacation.

To go with your great selection of tees, make sure you take a few pairs of board shorts on your vacation. These are fantastic as they can double up as bathing shorts, saving space in your luggage. They’re also great for going out on day trips or for a casual, laidback beach look. Go for a longer length down to you knee if possible. They also fold up really small and are made from breathable fabric, making them ideal for summer vacations.

You need to make sure to take a couple of pairs of shoes with you on vacation, too. Don’t go overboard or they won’t fit in your luggage! Flip flops are great for casual exploring or for lounging around on the beach, plus they’re cheap and don’t take up much space, making them a great buy. A pair of sturdy sandals is also a good idea on vacation as they’re breathable and cool but sturdy enough that you’ll be able to walk around in them if you need to.

Particularly if you have fair skin, it can be a really good idea to take a few casual long-sleeve shirts with you. These will be great for protecting your shoulders from the sun as well as for if you find yourself going out for any formal meals or events. Choose light colors that reflect the sun, such as white or pale blue, as this will ensure they keep you cool even with long sleeves. You could even wear a shirt unbuttoned for a cool, casual summer vacation look.

Try to keep away from school breaks and peak periods throughout the summer at popular tourist areas. Going on holiday outside of peak times can save a lot of money and hassle.

Budget airlines have been growing massively over the past decade or so. Flying with a budget airline as opposed to a premium airline can yield massive savings. That’s a pretty expensive meal and movie when you look at it that way! Budget airlines can give you massive savings and still provide the service and comfort you’d expect from a premium airline.

Even if you go to a budget airline and manage to make big savings on the cost of your flight, don’t stop there! Go to a scraper website to try and find even bigger bargains for exactly the same flight. Many different flight brokers and operators give special deals and discounts online and you can save even more money off you flight by using one of these specialized sites. You can compare the prices from many different brokers and agents and find the best possible deal for the period of your holiday. Why should you pay more than you have to? There are massive savings to be had, so have them!

Buying A Screen Protector Will Extend The Life Of Your LCD TV

It is hard to find a fault with the pictures that the new breed of TVs give us. They also look more stylish than their predecessors. Whereas as before a TV was a chunky, unsightly block of plastic, now it is sleek, super thin and compromised of not much more than a glass screen.

Along with the televisions themselves, we have also seen a flood of related technology which has made the experience of watching them more enjoyable. Having hundreds of channels is now standard and we can even pause live television.

Don’t let that call go to voice mail, take that call. Simply pause your television and after Grandma tells you about her BINGO win, press play and your watching your show right where you left off, as if you never left. Can’t stand that Mentos commercial? With these systems you can fast forward through all of what Madison Avenue is trying to sell you.

With all these technological enhancements come some caveats as well. The same screens that bring you that crystal clear picture are also extremely fragile. Throwing your remote at the TV because your team lost, will make you even more upset later when you break the screen on your new television.

The televisions of yesteryear were actually a lot more robust than the ones we have today. It is not the fault of the manufacturers, but rather than the only way to get such perfect looking pictures is to use a really thin and fragile screen. As it stands, there is no alternative, and so we are constantly faced with the risk of a small crack or scratch ruining our viewing experience.

So, how are consumers supposed to protect their serious investment? The best option is to purchase a TV screen protector such as TV armor. It can protect your screen from all life has to throw at it.

A screen protector is basically a high grade acrylic screen, of about a quarter of an inch thickness, which attaches to the front of your TV screen. As the protector screen is specially made for this purpose, you can rest assured that it will not take anything away from the quality of the picture that you see.

Michael Cunningham is the owner of a TV Screen Protector company called TV Armor, located at www.TV-Armor.com. Thousands of LCD and LED TV screens are lost each day to accidental contact with the screen. Pick up a TV Protector before it happens to you. Stop worrying about your TV and start enjoying it. TV Screen Protectors – A Worthwhile Investment Or Not?

A TV screen protector is a deceptively simple piece of hardware. There are many different ones available, but they all do basically the same thing. All are made from the same optical grade acrylic. These pieces of acrylic are then cut and molded to fit the size of most, if not all LCD TV screens. They attach to your TV screen using Velcro straps.

Now, here are some commonly asked questions about TV screen protectors…

- What is a TV screen protector made of? They are made using optical grade acrylic. Optical grade acrylic is actually pretty impressive stuff, as it is scratch resistant, anti-glare and anti-reflective. This material was developed by NASA, so you can have faith in it. The stuff is strong, reliable and provides more than enough protection for your expensive television.

- How does the screen protector attach to the TV? All protectors use a simple method utilizing Velcro straps to attach to your television. Once placed on your TV, there are rubber or felt tabs that rest against the frame around your screen. These act as shock absorbers and take the brunt of the force when the screen cover is jarred. Do not be fooled by the simplicity though; a lot of time and effort has been put into making these extremely effective.

- What do these products protect against? Not only do they protect against thrown gaming controllers, but also hyperactive pets that like pawing at the screen, toddlers who like drawing on things, kids who throw things, clumsy adults, and other types of accidental contact. It should be noted that if took out a warranty, it is probable that this warranty does not cover accidental screen contact resulting a damaged screen.

- Who makes these products? There are a few major providers or brands on the market. The only major difference between them are slight variations in the way the Velcro straps attach to the acrylic protector and, in some instances, how thick the protector is. The thinner the acrylic used, the more flex will be present in the Protector. If an object strikes a thinner protector, there is a good chance the protector itself will flex and strike the surface of the TV with enough force to damage it.

Do You Need A TV Screen Protector?

A screen protector will cost you some additional money but will aid in increasing the life of your television. It is also important to point out that almost all insurance plans don’t cover damage to the TV screen itself.

You might wonder why TV screens are in need of such much protection? Well, the reason is that they are made of a thin type of glass and, as you’ll be well aware, glass is one of the easiest materials around to damage.

Whatever size your TV is, there will be a screen protector that fits it perfectly. It’s definitely worth taking the time to find one that’s the right size as a poorly matched one not only looks bad, it also reduces the level of protection provided.

Some people worry about the image quality of their televisions and feel that a protector will ruin it. This need not be a concern if the lights in the room are positioned such to prevent light from the rear of the viewing area to prevent glare on the plastic.

The best quality ones are made so that you can’t even tell that they are separate to the TV. The edges of the protector will match the color of your TV and the screen of the protector is optically clear. You’ve probably even watch a TV screen with a protector on it before and not even realized that it was there.

Occasional cleaning of it will be necessary, but will be needed less often than you’re currently having to wipe down your TV screen now. They’re also much easier to clean, as you don’t have to worry about what you spray on them or how hard you wipe.

Be aware that there are various cheaper TV screen protector options available in the market which claims to be the best option. But they have certain flaws which are really not acceptable. The biggest difference between the options is the thickness of the protector, if they do not state the thickness it is most likely a thin piece of plastic that does not offer the level of protection it should.
