Rooms are pleasant with TV and Internet as well as being air conditioned. You will spend USD $90 as a single room and suites can go up higher than $180.

A great budget hotel near Chinatown is the Brisbane Manor. Here the rooms are big with private bathrooms and air conditioning. On site it the Sun Deck bar and restaurants are situated within walking distance. This is a 3 star rated hotel that you only have to spend about USD $80 to visit.

Uganda, also referred to as the Pearl of Africa, Uganda is a beautiful country offering numerous attractions. These include falls, rivers (including the Nile River), mountains and valleys as well as an incredibly wide array of flora and fauna in their most natural environment. Most tourists to Uganda find gorilla tracking adventures so fascinating. With more than 20 species of primates, including the highly endangered mountain gorilla, Uganda is a primate tracking paradise. Indeed the country hosts more than half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorilla (about 600), mainly found in Mgahinga Gorilla Park and the impenetrable Bwindi Forest. The primates of Uganda come in two types, the nocturnal and diurnal. There are 6 different types of nocturnal primates and 13 types of diurnal distributed among Uganda’s national park and reserves.

Bwindi impenetrable forest hosts over five different groups of totally habituated primates. The forest is also a home to the highly endangered mountain gorilla species, only found in Congo and Rwanda. The giant primates can grow up to 1.8 meters and weigh up to 350 kilos. The primates are used to tourists and they do not charge at them.

Uganda is home to more than eight species of monkeys, that includes baboons such as the huge, menacingly looking olive baboon found in all the national park except around the Ruwenzori Mountains and the Montane regions. The baboons’ heads resemble those of dogs and they love to bare out their teeth to frighten others. Blue monkeys are, however, the commonest in all the East African countries. They are dark blue and grey in colour and have white throat and a white chest patch. Golden monkey (a cousin to the blue monkey) is a species unique to Uganda and can only be found in the Mgahinga gorilla park. They are not easily seen but can be spotted with keen observance.

The drier months; January and February, and June to September are regarded as the best time to visit Uganda. Although rain is likely almost throughout the year, heavy rains can make the treks up to the gorillas quite difficult, so you should avoid the months of March-April and October-November.
