One of the most notable things I remember seeing in Echuca is the main land mark which was a dock on the Murray river. This place was beautiful and peaceful. I enjoyed it more than I thought I was going to. Being a person that lives in the country already I thought that I would not enjoy the peace and quiet, but I loved it more than I loved my own home and was very sad to leave.

This place offers more than just peace and quiet. It offers the joy of horse races, football and even a golfing place. Their main land mark is right on the Murray river and is a great place to go and have a peaceful day.

Echuca was founded by one of the most interesting characters of the colonial days. There was an ex convict that was name Henry Hop wood and in the year eighteen fifty he brought over a small punt which he operated across the Murray river. As the town grew bigger there was a name for the little punt and this is now called Hop woods ferry. The post office was named after him as well but in eighteen fifty five it was renamed Echuca.

If I could choose any other place all over again I would probably still go there because it made me forget about my troubles and realize that there is still fun in some places around the world.

In the eighteen seventies Echuca had risen to such a great prominence it was the shortest port between the Murray river and the city of Melbourne. This place has such beauty and luster, it is a wonderful place to go if you are looking to get away from the everyday hustle and bustle.

If you are looking for festivities there are many other places that you can visit around this area. These places are close and you can enjoy different things that these other places have to offer. Most people look for fun on their vacations and also relaxation. I found both when I visited Echuca.

If you look online you can find all kinds of reviews that people have written about this place. They talk about it being peaceful and a great place to relax. They also talk about how family oriented it is and how much they would love to move to this place. Things can be very expensive in Echuca, but I believe everything was worth the price and I would gladly take a trip back there if I was ever given that chance again.

They also write about how wonderful the residents are that have come to live there and even the people that have been born and raised in that very town. I would love to go there again some day and I hope I will get the opportunity to take my family as well. This is definitely a place you should put on your list of “places to visit before you die”.
