Washington D.C is an amazing place to go for a trip with the family or even as a couple. It should be seen by everyone as it is our nations capital. Not only that though, it has a lot of meaning for all of us and is actually a fun and neat place to see. You can even check out the Smithsonian while you are there.
The Smithsonian is an amazing museum that is not just one, but many different museums that seem to have everything from aviation information and history to even dinosaur bones and obviously your classic paintings as well. The Museum of Natural History has many of the most fascinating exhibits and especially educational exhibits. There are exhibits for the natural world such as animals and insects and humans. There are exhibits that give visitors a, glimpse into ancient Egypt and the dinosaur age. And if you are someone that is into artifacts of American history then you need to check out that museum as well.
There is so much history in the halls of the museum that it is almost overwhelming. The art museum is a tribute to American artists as well as some of the best in the world, but for my money, and you should know that admission to the entire list of museums is free; the aviation and space museum is the best. They have exhibits that chronicle man’s foray into the great blue yonder of the skies and even into space.
One of the amazing things is that there are planes from every part of flight, from the Spirit of St. Louis to Apollo capsules, every era is represented. As a child I wondered around in awe and silence as I looked in every corner of the museum and read every placard I could find. I spent more time in that museum than in all of the others combined. Not only is our nation’s capital a worthy destination just for the museums, there are plenty of other things to see and do. Form pro sporting events, to site seeing tours, the mix of history and education can’t be beat.
While tours of the White House and Capital buildings have been scaled back in recent years, there are still plenty of historical sites and destinations. Just the monuments are worth the trip. There is nothing more awe inspiring than standing in the Lincoln and Jefferson memorials. They showcase the importance and brilliance of some of the most influential people in not only US history, but world history. Take a ride to the top of the Washington monument and you will get one of the best views of the capital that is available. It is a perfect post card moment.

When you are deciding on vacationing in Florida, you will have no problems finding something to do. The only problem that you may encounter is what can you fit into your trip. Due to the vast variety of attractions and natural wonders, Florida is one of the top tourist destinations in the United States. Contributing to its popularity is the fact that the state is surrounded by water, therfore offers many beaches and lot of fun outdoor activities. Not only does Florida offer up beaches, everywhere you turn, the state also has many rivers and fresh water lakes where you can spend your afternoon boating, canoeing or even inner tubing sown the rivers. One of my favorite things to do in the state of Florida is grab an inner tube and head down to the lake to float around and relax and you listen to the sounds of the area, or just take in all the wonderful sights. In addition to all these wonderful natural activities there are also numerous theme parks and attractions that visitor can enjoy. There are the larger them parks such as SeaWorld and Disney, which are internationally known, and then there are other smaller theme and water parks across the state for you to enjoy.
Of course you can take a ride down south and visit the southernmost point in the US in Key West. It’s a long drive down there, so make sure to pack a lunch. No matter what you like to do, outdoor activities or theme parks or maybe take in a NASCAR race in Daytona, there are plenty of things to do when you visit Florida. After spending the day at the beach there is plenty of nightlife, with tons of great restaurants and night clubs at almost every beach destination. Daytona is home to NASCAR as well as the world famous bike week.

In high school, students are given opportunities that will shape who they are and help them to become the very best. One of those programs is the international program for students. This is a program that allows high school aged kids to go to another country and attend school for a semester. While some students want to do this, many parents want to know of the importance of international program for students. Let us help you to understand.
One of the first things that high school students gain from this sort of experience is that they are able to look at the place in which they live and find why they love it so much. They get to see how other places differ. This way they recognize all the great things they have.
One of the major things they will learn first hand is the governmental systems. Each government system is different. Some are different for the good. Others are different for the worse. They can see these and they also get to see how these governments affect the people in which they govern.
They get to see the differences in the school system. While some school systems are great, there are some that are really not on top of the game. They do not benefit those students who have to learn with this system. They get to see how those students thrive and survive.
International students at an independent high school are immersed with a new culture. They learn to speak as the natives speak. They go to different events that they might or might not know much about. They will be a part of this culture and are expected to assimilate as best as possible. This can be a great challenge, but as they learn to adjust they get to have an open mind about things.
They will learn to accept other cultures. This is something that we don’t teach our children enough of. They are taught to see the negatives in people and not the positives. With doing this program at a preparatory school, they have a chance in which they can see both. Not every society is bad. You can learn a few things from other cultures and this is how they can learn to do so.
They are on their own so they have to keep their head above water. They have a host family, but the host family is not there to raise them. They are there to give them food and shelter and act as the person that they go to when it comes to legal matters and such, but they are put into this situation where they have to learn everything and make it on their own.
Above all, they get to see and go someplace which many people miss the chance on. They are put in a one on one learning situation. They will learn how to do things differently. They will interact with people that they never thought they would have the chance to interact with. That is what this program is all about. It’s giving student the opportunity to stand up for their country, but to learn from another.

When traveling around the country, trying to see all of the great natural and manmade wonders that the US has to offer, South Dakota and Mount Rushmore is certainly at the top of the list. While your choices are vast and the places to visit are varied, there is something special about seeing the sculpted faces of those great presidents staring down from the mountain. Along with certain monuments in Washington D.C. this is a US historic monument that should be visited if possible.
There are a few other man made objects that everyone should visit. The arch in St. Louis is one of those places that you should visit, along with the Empire State Building in New York and the Statue of Liberty. These places are all must sees, but there are some others.
Experiencing the launch pad first hand from Cape Canaveral, as well as a Space Shuttle launch, is something amazing and that will never be forgotten. Sure you can watch the amazement from your television, but that will not give you the feel of the roaring engines.
There are so many cool places to visit and experience, but there is something special about Rushmore. Work on the sculpture started in 1927 and was not completed until 1941. The estimated cost of the project was just under one million dollars and over 400 tons of rock was removed for the sculpture. Every year, according to the national park service, over three million visitors move through the park and marvel at the feat. The park is located in the famous Black Hills of South Dakota and there are plenty of outdoor activities for visitors to experience.
When you are visiting the area, you will find that there are many organized events to partake in. If you are a scout troop and want to experience this, as well as be apart of the flag raising in front of the monument, then you will want to make arrangements early. There is many outdoor activities from hiking to fishing and there is even a wonderful camp ground for your trip to pitch their tents and spend the night. Mt.Rushmore is a sight that should be witness by all, and even while you are witnessing it you will be in complete awe, no matter what your age.

SeaWorld, The Orlando Experience That Many Overlook

Orlando is known for many things. Among those things are great vacation spots like Disney World and all the parks that go with Disney, Islands of Adventure and Downtown Disney and all the local restaurants and golfing. In addition to all of these places, you have a park that can sometimes be overlooked. It is SeaWorld.
SeaWorld is made up of wonderful family entertainment, as well as wonderful educational experiences. There are many attractions and shows to take in on your visit to SeaWorld, and often times visitors find they need to return a second day just to fit everything in.
SeaWorld is owned and operated by the Busch family, the same people who run Busch Gardens. So you know what that means in terms of ride, it means that the rides are going to be spectacular and fun. They are known for their thrill rides and they have put a couple of great ones at SeaWorld. In addition to a cool roller coaster and an even cooler water roller coaster, the animal attractions are world class.
SeaWorld is perhaps most famous for their inhabitants. Many travel across the globe just to take in the killer whale show, starring the infamous Shamu and her family. The animals are the center of the SeaWorld attractions and they are not only treated as stars but as part of the family. Two of the more popular SeaWorld shows, in addition to Shamu, include the walrus and seal shows.
One of my personal favorite attractions at SeaWorld is the arctic expedition. There are polar bears that live in frigid waters in an exhibit that looks a lot like their native northern habitat. SeaWorld also gives you a glimpse of a rarely seen Narwhal, an animal that most people would never have a chance to see in the wild.
SeaWorld is a great experience for the whole family. You can purchase your tickets for this park alone, or get a pass that will also allow you to visit Busch Gardens. These passes are exceptionally priced and since Tampa is only a 45 minute drive from SeaWorld it will allow you to get out of the touristy Orlando and visit a place that is full of local Floridians.
