Discover The Beaches of San Diego

There are quite a handful of coastal cities in the US that boast a number of amazing beaches, turning them into ideal locations for tourists or people who wish to live by the sea. Of these coastal cities though, there are a select few that are truly a cut above the rest, and one of these few is San Diego, famous for its cultural, historic, and commercial attractions, and of course, its pristine beaches! It is a jewel of the West Coast, and a truly wonderful city.

In this city, people can find a wide variety of unique beaches from the Imperial Beach to the south, to Oceanside, Carlsbad, Encitas, and Solana to the North. There’s also a lot of beaches in between, from Mission, Ocean, and Pacific Beaches, to the many beach areas of locations like La Jolla, Del Mar, and Mission Bay. The city pretty much has every kind of beach there is, ensuring that beach goers will be able to enjoy the city, regardless of their preference and style.

There’s Mission Beach, which is the closest the West Coast will ever get to a classic East Coast beach like Coney Island and Atlantic City. There were a few carnivals, games stalls, concession stands, even a circus before, though today they are slowly being replaced by bars, clubs, condos, and other commercial areas. Divided into the north and south sections, Mission Beach has residential and hip stores and shops up north, and diving areas, a boardwalk, and other attractions to the south. Mission Beach is different from Mission Bay, however, which is another beach destination.

Then there’s Mission Bay, an aquatic playground covering 4,200 acres of land and water, all connected by waterways, inlets, islets, and more. It has 27 miles of meandering beaches and shores, and is also where Sea World Adventure Park is located, along with Fiesta Island and Leisure Lagoon, providing entertainment for all of the family’s members. Mission Bay is the place to be for people who are looking to have a full blown beach vacation, due to its hotels, picnic areas, parks, shopping centers, playgrounds, and more, a truly ideal destination for family getaways.

There are plenty more beaches just waiting to be visited, and all can be found by exploring the city. The beauty of the beaches make living in San Diego one of the biggest goals of beach goers everywhere, and what’s great about this is that moving to San Diego is no problem at all. Just get the right San Diego info, and pretty soon you’ll find yourself in this jewel of a city.
